Canopies also known as 'Dutch Canopies are very similar to awnings. Actually with the addition of columns an awning becomes a canopy. Canopies are able to extend further from a building, as in the case of an entrance to a hotel. Dutch canopies are ideal for shading windows where awnings may not be suitable due to:
- limited space or
- an awning being too heavy.
Dutch canopies are primarily supplied to the commercial market. Canopies can look very attractive in domestic situations such as:

Dutch canopies are available in a wide range of shapes and styles. They are manufactured using aluminium frames. To get a neat and attractive overall finish and to match or contrast the design of cover canopies have:

- trims

- electric operation
